steve leveille

If you’re looking for Steve LeVeille, overnight talk show host at WBZ-AM 1030 it appears you won’t find him there. He has been let go by the Boston area news radio station.

The radio jock has been doing the midnight to 5:00 a.m. Monday-Friday segment since 1999, covering political issues and current events. MediaBiz recently leaked news that LeVeille had gotten his pink slip along with Tom Cuddy, Pat Desmarais and Lovell Dyett, but their names and photos still appear on the station’s website so for now he appears to be a solo castoff.

A Boston native, LeVeille began his career in 1977 at WEEI Boston as a writer and producer. He also did stints with ABC News in New York as an assignment editor and writer and spent some career time at Monitor Radio.

In 1998 he won an Associated Press Massachusetts Broadcasters award for Best Sports Commentary for his work on WAAF Worchester.

LeVeille is a graduate of Emerson College and lives in Boston with his wife Diane.
